At the Haritoun Cave Trail in Nahal Tekoa, we escaped from the noise of everyday life and discovered a cross between a playground and a monastery. Between the uniquely beautiful scenery and fun rock formations, this little trail is well worth exploring.
Special Feature: Water
Nahal Peres – Trek to Desert Pools
One by one, they stripped off their clothes, then cannonballed into the cold water. After jumping into the first pool, they would swim to the far end, then jump into a pool a few meters down.
Sataf – Choose Your Own Adventure Walk
Sataf and the woods around the city of Jerusalem hold a deep natural beauty that’s waiting to be explored.
Hod Akev – Unreal Desert Hike
The sky was the crispest shade of cerulean, with cirrus clouds spattered around like white paint on a blue canvas. The mountain rock was stark and chalky in some places, like cut clay. In others, piles of sandy stones gathered to form sharp peaks.
Nahal Bokek
We found Nahal Bokek, where we tramped through a river, waded in a waterfall pool, and discovered a great family trail that we never knew existed.
