Susannah Schild and guide extraordinaire Ben Zaltzman put together a four-day Yam el Yam hike that was challenging, inspiring and beautiful. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured that we were well-prepared for the trail in terms of gear and provisions. Each segment of the hike, whether rigorous or easygoing, was tailored to start with sunrise, end with sundown and leave time to learn about, appreciate and absorb, through discussions, observations and meditations, the natural beauty of the trail and the significance from both historical and religious perspectives of sites along the way. Not to mention the wonderful breakfasts and lunches on the trail, together with piping hot coffee and tea. We look forward to more multi-day hikes with Susannah and Ben.
