We took in the incredible views: hills and valleys of purple, red, and yellow, a crazy cloud filled sky spread out above a vast canyon.
Under the cover of greenery, we hopped from one stone to the next, passing twisty roots running through the rocks on the sides of valley.
Off the side of the pathway, we found a flat spot on a carpet of oak leaves, surrounded by twisted bark and covered by a leaf ceiling.
I collapsed into our car, tired but totally exhilarated. Our hike through Nahal Azgad and Nahal Ashlim had been a fun, beautiful, and challenging adventure.
We climbed up sand-colored terrain, reaching higher ground just as the sun began to peek over the mountains in the distance.
