We were looking for an easy and adventurous desert hike. We got that, plus a surprise desert oasis, lots of amazing animal sightings, and beautiful Dead Sea views throughout.
Difficulty Level: Moderate
Nahal Snir River Walk
Mini waterfalls poured down on the sides of the path. We clambered over rocks and tree roots in the shallow part of the stream, making our way down the river.
Nahal Og – Climbing Canyon Walls
The texture of the rock walls is striking – smooth and soft in some places, brown and bumpy in others. I hear the bird calls so crisp, echoing around in the silence.
Yehudiya Falls Hike
The giant waterfall cascaded down in the distance, crashing into a large and deep pool. The whole area around the falls was filled with trees, large stones, and little rivulets.
Ein Prat Nature Reserve
We sat there enjoying the peace and broken silence that can be found only while sitting on a river. Colorful birds swooped between the canyon walls. And the waterfall a few feet away sent a gentle mist into the air.
