Singles Outdoors Club #1: Nahal HaMeara
Calling all singles of all ages! If you love hiking and want to mix with other singles in a relaxed environment on a challenging nature trail, this hike is for you!
Join us on Friday, October 25th for our inaugural hike of the Singles Outdoors Club, a once a month hiking group for singles. Led by expert nature guide Ben Zaltzman, we’ll be following one of the most beautiful dry stream beds in the Jerusalem Mountains. Enjoy climbing, (all downhill), beautiful shady areas (and some sunny ones too!), a rock slide, and a cool bat cave. We’ll also pass a Crusader fortress and more fun sights along the way. Pack up your bag, lace up your hiking boots, and get ready for monthly adventures with other singles!
This hike is made possible through the joint efforts of Hiking the Holyland, Saw You at Sinai, and JIC Israel.
Prices includes VAT. Pay for 6 hikes at once to get a big discount! (must be used by one person for 6 different hikes)
When you sign up, you will receive a link to a WhatsApp group where you can offer and receive rides and hear about future hikes.

Ben ZaltzmanMy name is Ben Zaltzman, I’m a tour guide and a hiker in Israel who leads people on trails around the country.Â
I fell in love with nature at a young age.
While exploring the wide open spaces of nature, I came to know that it was the place where I belong.
A question I ask during our journeys is, “What happens to me in nature?”
I found secret hiking trails, discovered magical corners in the country, and have been guiding others through my experiences.
The trips I lead are about nature connection, the power of being in nature, and the changing environment.
I’m an expert at long-distance hikes. I hiked for 6 month along the Pacific Crest Trail in the US, and have gone on lots of other journeys in Israel and abroad.
Education:
Tour guiding course of the ministry of tourism, birdwatching course (Israeli SPN), educational tours (ministry of education), Storytelling, hunter-gatherers life skills, group dynamics leader, tour educator (on Birthright), Nature cure & connection journey.
I’m visiting family in the USA until the beginning of December, but hope to join the singles hikes from December 22 on.
