Israel Trail #24: Sunset Hike from Alexander Stream to the Coast!!!
Sunday, September 15th: Join Hiking the Holyland and expert guide Ben Zaltzman on a beautiful sunset adventure, section 24 of the Israel Trail!
The evening begins at 4:00 PM, when we’ll set out from Turtle Bridge, along Alexander Stream. We’ll cross through a pretty forest and reach a beautiful beach covered with seashells. From there, we’ll continue to follow the Israel Trail along the beach as we watch the sun set and the waves hit the shore.  Along the way, we’ll learn about the various sights we see on the Israel Trail. Midway through our journey, we’ll stop to have a glass of wine and some snacks while we take in the views and the sea breeze. We’ll finish up the day in Netanya by 9:00 PM. This 13 kilometer hike is quite flat – suitable for any fit hikers who can walk a long distance. VAT not included.
Round trip transport available from Savidor Station in Tel Aviv (110-140 NIS per person).

Ben ZaltzmanMy name is Ben Zaltzman, I’m a tour guide and a hiker in Israel who leads people on trails around the country.Â
I fell in love with nature at a young age.
While exploring the wide open spaces of nature, I came to know that it was the place where I belong.
A question I ask during our journeys is, “What happens to me in nature?”
I found secret hiking trails, discovered magical corners in the country, and have been guiding others through my experiences.
The trips I lead are about nature connection, the power of being in nature, and the changing environment.
I’m an expert at long-distance hikes. I hiked for 6 month along the Pacific Crest Trail in the US, and have gone on lots of other journeys in Israel and abroad.
Education:
Tour guiding course of the ministry of tourism, birdwatching course (Israeli SPN), educational tours (ministry of education), Storytelling, hunter-gatherers life skills, group dynamics leader, tour educator (on Birthright), Nature cure & connection journey.

Once we get to the beach, how do we get back to the car?
Either by pairing with other hikers for car rides (on whatsapp group), or we’ll arrange transport for you at the beginning or end of day (small fee).

I was hoping to go on this hike. Yitzhak has a couple of conflicts and won’t be coming. I plan to take the train. My concern is that the last train that can get me to Karmiel pulls out of Savidor Center at 9:58 pm. Will I be able to meet my train?
so there will be transportation arranged from where we finish up back to our car at turtle bridge or is it better we park at the end of the trail and then there will be transport to the start of the trail?
