Israel Trail #20: Ofer Forest
Sunday, October 8th: Join Hiking the Holyland and expert guide Ben Zaltzman on our 20th segment of the Israel Trail through the Carmel Mountains!
The 13 kilometer journey begins at the Ofer Forest Lookout. After a hot cup of coffee and an intro, we’ll hike our way through beautiful Ofer Forest towards an incredible bell cave in the Carmel. Accompanied by typical Carmel scenery, with sea views and stunning mountain terrain, we’ll make our way south towards Tarmilim Spring, stopping along the way for explanations. The last part of the day will take us past the Shefaya Youth Village. Our journey ends with wine and snacks, as we celebrate the completion of the 20th segment of the Israel Trail!
Minibus transportation available from Savidor Station (price determined based on # of participants, 110-140 NIS). This is a challenging hike for fit hikers only. This is a popular hike, so please reserve your spot early!
