Friday, May 16th: Join Hiking the Holyland on a journey for nature lovers, on a 7 kilometer circular hike at Mount Heret of the Jerusalem Mountains!

Take the opportunity on a Friday morning to step out into nature and enjoy the peace and quiet…or enjoy the company of other nature lovers.  The trail at Mount Herut leads through pine forests and olive groves, around the summit of a peaceful mountain.

You’ll enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding area and spring wildflowers.  Take a peek at an old quarry and take a look at an ancient watchtower: our expert guide, Olinka, will explain the sights along the way.

This hike is moderate level with mild ascents and descents over natural terrain. Easily accessible by public transportation.  Bus 183 goes right to the trailhead!
