Israel Trail #51–52: Neve Zohar to Nahal Tamar (2 days)
Sunday–Monday, December 27–28: Join Hiking the Holyland and our expert guide for the second overnight trip of our Israel Trail desert season, as we leave the Dead Sea behind and climb toward the Negev. We’ll start at Neve Zohar and hike into Nahal Peratzim, a gleaming white canyon carved beneath Mount Sodom, then out onto the wide-open Amiaz plain. We’ll spend the night back at our hotel in Ein Bokek, with dinner, breakfast and one more chance to float in the Dead Sea. Monday is our climbing day. We’ll cross the plain and head up Ma’ale Tzurim, past the Gevei Peres pools, with the Dead Sea dropping away behind us, and finish at Nahal Tamar on Road 25. Good to know
